I Love VeggieTales!

Abby is quietly sitting in the kitchen watching VeggieTales on the computer. This has allowed me a few minutes to myself. I have done the dishes, loaded the washing machine (twice!) and am now updating my blog. This rocks. Why didn't I think of this sooner. Now I know I can't plop her in front of a show all the time but it's a nice break!

We opened our Christmas presents this weekend. (pictures on Facebook) We are going away for the Christmas break so instead of lugging them with us, we decided to open them early. That and we couldn't wait anymore. We opened stockings on Saturday night and the big ones on Sunday. Then we went to church. We were going to drive around after supper to look at the lights but we completely forgot. Abby goes to bed so early and we usually like to just relax before bed. Oh well, maybe tonight, but I doubt it cuz we have to pack! I'm getting really excited about seeing everyone again. I can't wait to see Abby play with all her cousins. She's getting better at playing with kids. She loves playing Ring-around-the-rosie. She runs up to me and yells Ashies, Ashies! Then she runs around in a circle and falls down. And pulls you down too. I can't wait for cousins to play that with her!!

It's Been Awhile

I've been so busy lately...and tired that I haven't had a chance to update lately. And I guess there's not too much to update about! Life has been going along as normal. It's getting colder and tougher to get outside. Abby refuse to wear her hat and mitts or as she calls it, mees. But she likes her scarf. And loves her boots. Except when we're in the Jimmy at which point she kicks them off with great vigour. Let's just say it's easier to stay inside. On Thursday, we ran a bunch of errands and Abby had a bunch of meltdowns. On the way from the Jimmy to the store, Baby's hat fell off. Abby is very protective of Baby's hat and when it went missing, she demanded we go back and find it. It was blowing and snowing out and I had no desire to go back out but Abby was determined and unwilling to go any farther into the store. So we turned around and tarted back to the Jimmy when a vehicle pulled up and a lady got out. She had Baby's hat and asked me if it was Abby's. he saw the hat blowing down the parking lot and went and grabbed it because she figured it must be important. At first she thought it was Abby's but then quickly figured it was for a doll. I was so grateful. If I ever lose that hat, Abby will never forget it! However, the day went downhill from there. The next day, we stayed inside and snuggled and tickled and just had fun. Much better day by far.

Abby is now supposed to be having a nap but she's screaming her head off. I might have to get her. Wish me luck.
