It Was A Wonderful Day

I had been dreading this day for almost a month now. Court had been cancelled back in September so all those matters (and any new ones) were set for today. We had nearly double the amount of people on the docket. Add to that the long nights I have been having with Abby, it was shaping up to be a long day. Since she was teething so bad, I tried anything. I had heard that rubbing vanilla on her gums helps, so I dipped her little toothbrush in some vanilla and gave she chewed on that for awhile. Then I gave her a dose of Tylenol. She woke up once at 10:30 but then slept through the night. I had so much energy today. I felt like skipping in the halls but I figured that might seem a bit disruptive. It was a long day but a very productive day. We had a lunch break at lunch time (not a usual event given the long docket) and we ended at 4:00. It wasn't the heinous day I thought it was going to be. I did get hit by the tired stick at around 3:00 p.m. but other than that, I was fine. I'm really tired now but it is 10:45. And the one case I was particularly worried abut is taken care of and I won't have to worry about it again. So you see, I really did have a wonderful day.
