Here Birdie!

This morning I saw a male and female mallard duck swimming in our dugout. Swimming side by side. Maybe they’ll have eggs this year! Speaking of which, while I was driving home this evening, the two geese that live in the big dugout along our road were there again. One was happily eating and the other turned around to face me and stared me down. He looked pretty intimidating and if I was out for a walk, I’d definitely give them their space. Hopefully they are protecting their eggs.

I also saw Harriet this evening. She was perched on top of a power pole. I could drive up pretty close but as soon as I stopped to take a picture, she flew away. This is the best I could do with my little iPhone.
