Sprung
Finally. I don't think I could take it much longer. Finally spring is here! All the snow is gone from the yard. Both lawns are raked and the grass is (tinted) green. This has been such a frustrating spring. Winter just dragged out so long. So much snow, so many storms! The only thing getting us through has been the promise of a truly excellent summer. Our boat is scheduled to be delivered next Tuesday. Then they have to put it all together and take us through an orientation. Then she's all ours!!! Waiting for spring, and waiting for this boat has been really difficult. It wasn't so bad when the weather was cold. I mean, who wants to be on the lake when it's snowing?! And then in preparation for the flooding, they dropped the lake levels down so far we probably couldn't get the boat in even if we wanted to. But now that it's warmed up and the lake had filled up more, the itch to go boating is festering.
Last weekend we took a drive to Boundary and Rafferty. We weren't the only ones. There were so many cars out checking the lakes. It was a really nice afternoon of driving around. So nice, both girls fell asleep. I can't remember the last time Abby fell asleep in the car.
So in preparation of summer, I've decided to start exercising. I'll never get back to wearing a bikini but I can still wear a cute one piece. And it's been a year since Isabelle was born. I have a little time to whip myself into shape before its summer. Wish me luck.
Yesterday Abby spent most if the morning playing outside. We need more of this. I think I may throw her outside again today. She has new sidewalk chalk. She loves drawing hopscotch and jumping around. Yep, sounds like a plan.
