Winds of Change

I woke up this morning at 5 am to the sound of pouring rain and wind hitting my window. It was so loud and violent. And now...it’s still windy but the sunny is shining and the clouds are beautiful. Nothing lasts forever.

And just like that my time of working remotely is over. I’ve been called back to work - at work. Just over a month at home. Long enough to get into a groove and routine. But don’t get me wrong, I am happy to go back. It will be nice to have some normalcy again! To go to work and then leave. To work with my colleagues instead of having to email/text them anytime I have a question. To have all my files right beside me. To have a computer that doesn’t take 5 minutes to save a document!! Yes, there are definitely some things I am looking forward to.

On the other hand, I will now have to wear real pants everyday. And shower everyday and do my hair and put in makeup. And I can’t stare out the window while I’m waiting for a document to load or save. And I’ll miss helping the girls out with their schoolwork or other activities during the day. And I will really miss having lunch with my husband everyday.

But I guess that’s what weekends and evenings are for. And I’m pretty sure it won’t take me a month to get back into a routine!
