It's That Time Again...
...when I get bored and change the look of my blog! I was getting depressed looking at the snow, yet I couldn't bring myself to put up a spring background just yet. So I picked out a more interesting snow picture. Once the weather changes, I'll change it again.
Boy am I tired. Yesterday, after work, we drove to Moose Jaw. It was very hectic. I told work that I was working 1-4 instead of 1:30 - 4:30 so we could get to Moose Jaw in time for the show (Arrogant Worms). Well, for 2.5 hours, I didn't have too much to do, did the bank run and picked up some stuff for the office, opened a couple files - usual stuff. Then, just before 3:30, it all hit my desk - I need to go to the bank, I need to print 52 pages off the computer, I need to stamp 50 envelopes and mail them, I need to pick up two boxes of files from another law firm. And I had to do all that in the time it usually takes me to do the mail, wash dishes and take out the trash*. So I ran. Literally. I got all that stuff done in time to get back to the office by 4pm. I wrote a note saying I was sorry but the trash and the dishes would have to wait until Monday. Any normal day I would have stayed late to get it all done, but this was not a normal day. I rushed around all Thursday to get everything ready so I didn't have to rush Friday. Then I rushed around all day Friday getting everything packed so I wouldn't have to rush around in the afternoon. Then I rushed around all afternoon so I wouldn't be rushed leaving. Then I rushed leaving and I couldn't relax until 10 minutes before Weyburn. Once we got to Moose Jaw, I was calm and started getting excited for the Arrogant Worms' show. Abby was so excited to see her grandparents - she ran right into their arms. We got her in her pajamas and then Mark and I left for the show. It was in the Mae Wilson Theatre. It is really nice in there. We left early because every other time we have gone to see them, it was rush seating. So we were some of the first people there and when we picked up our tickets, she told us our seat numbers (B4,5 - awesome seats right?) So we wandered around. We check our coats. There is an art gallery so we looked at some art. And there are displays so we looked at those too. Of course, they were selling some CDs so I bought one. It's Chris Patterson's solo children's CD. I'm listening to it right now. It's pretty good. I think Abby will like it. After the show, they were all signing CDs so I got him to sign it.
The show was great. I'd tell you all about it but it wouldn't make any sense and it wouldn't do it justice so I'll just say they have not lost a step since the last time we saw them which was about 5 years ago.
After the show, we were so hungry - we only ate sandwiches for supper (on the road) and Abby ate two, Mark ate 1 1/2 so that left me with Abby's crusts, half a sandwich and some grapes. So we went to BP's. We didn't get back until late - felt like a real date! Thank goodness for parents who love their grandchildren and view looking after Abby as a treat! Today, we went shopping and Mark bought some clothes for work. For lunch, we went to BP's again with some friends. Again, Grandparents had the pleasure (?) of watching Abby. (She pooped) Then it was time to go back home. Abby was not happy about that! She kept saying over and over - "No go!" She slept for a little while on the ride but then woke up in a very bad mood so I crawled in beside her and that seemed to cheer her up.
*We do employ a cleaning lady who comes Tuesdays and Fridays who does the dishes and takes out the trash and cleans the office. I do the dishes on the days she doesn't come. However, she is currently on holidays so it falls to me to do the dishes everyday and on Tuesdays and Fridays to take out the trash.
