How much do I need this long Weekend!
Well, on Thursday, I made rice for about the billionth time in the rice maker and for two cups of rice, I put two cups of water. Didn't realize until the rice was almost done. Then last night, as I was doing laundry, again, for the billionth time, I took the clothes out of the washer, put them in the dryer and loaded another load into the washer. I put the detergent in and walked away. When the buzzer went, I came back to take the now dry clothes out and fold and to put the newly washed clothes into the dryer. Well, the newly washed clothes weren't wet. A little damp maybe but not as wet as they should have been. And the socks still smelled. I hadn't turned the washing machine on. Wow. Yesterday at work wasn't too much better. At least I was alone so no one saw how incompetent I was. Every other thing went wrong. I'll just give you the highlights: I couldn't get on the Internet. Then I couldn't get on the accounting program. The wrong window kept popping up. (Spent a half an hour with a tech support lady form the company who couldn't help me. She kept asking me to hit the Browse button and I kept telling her that I don't have a Browse button. Finally she told me to call the guy who installed the program.) I did manage to fix that but then I don't have the user name and password and no one knows it. Great. Then I had to go downtown and get the mail and deposit some cheques. Well, I got the cheques deposited but the mail key wouldn't work. Either I had the wrong box or the wrong key. Perfect. So I decided to do some vacuuming at work cuz it's a disaster. I plugged in the vacuum and went nuts. I was doing so well. I was warned that it was an old machine and might not work. So when it died I wasn't too surprised. So I put it away and decided to just go home. I went to turn off the space heater off and realized it was already off. Then my computer wasn't on either. The plug I plugged the vacuum in had overloaded shutting everything off. At least it wasn't the breaker. I turned everything back on and left. What a day!
So I took a bath last night and calmed myself down so much that for the first time in our marriage, I fell asleep before Mark. Today, I'm going to take it easy. Mark is out shooting guns and will probably go ice fishing later. We might go for our skate tonight, but I'll have to see how he feels after an afternoon of fishing. Wish me luck today and for the rest of the weekend. I don't want anymore stupid mistakes.
