RIDER PRIDE
Yeah!
This weekend was great, all capped off with a great victory. But let me start at the beginning.
We went to our friend's birthday party (he turned 50). Every one brought over stuff to pin on his fishing hat. Lots of burn gel and band-aids. A pattern was forming! There was so much food and cake and chatting. There were over 30 people there. It was a really fun night. We were the first ones there (of course). My cheeks started hurting halfway through from all the laughing and smiling. We left just before midnight.
Then I rolled out of bed to go play at church. I thought about adding Please let the Riders win to the Prayer Request list but since Glenn broke his arm, they didn't need it. After that I went and bought the last minute food and set up everything for the party. People started coming over just after 4:00 and then the fun began. The first half was taken over by the two Bomber fans in the crowd. But we shut them up after half-time. It was an exciting game once people stopped dropping the ball and taking safeties. It wasn't the best game I've ever seen but it was the best outcome. It reminded something that I had seen at a baseball game one time. The game was going back and forth and you couldn't tell who was going to win. Really exciting. Anyway, the announcer turned and said the colour commentator "Wow, this is really an exciting game. What a great game." The colour commentator agreed but with a wry smile turned to him and said "It's only good if you end up with the win." Agreed.
So again, I went to bed exhausted and with sore cheeks. This morning was a struggle to get out of bed. Now I have to get ready for the weekend of Messiah. We have four straight days of rehearsals following two days of rehearsals. The rest of the week is shot for me so don't expect any more updates until I get back and catch my breath!
Notice Deeds is sporting the Bobby Jurasin bandanna. She is, after all, from Deschambault Lake, SK.
