Santa Came Early

Usually I don't pay any attention to baseball players who don't play for the Blue Jays. They just don't seem that important. Except if they are good. Then I don't like them. And if they are really good, I hate them. Yet every once and awhile there comes along a player who has never played for the Jays that I like. It's only happened once before - Kirby Puckett. But the last couple years, there was a young shortstop who I admired - David Eckstein. I watched him win the World Series with the Angles and I was very impressed with how he played. Full out, hard nosed baseball. The guy ran everywhere. No slacker here. I liked that. Today as I was reading over the online news, I discovered that the Blue Jays signed none other than Mr. Eckstein. Hooray. Finally they listen to me.

Oh, by the way, Mark bought a snowmobile. I personally have wanted one for about 20 years. We took a ride to get gas last night. It was quite chilly but a lot of fun. I even got to drive but I made Mark drive in town. There are trails throughout town but I'd rather stick to the lakes. And since we sold the car (Hooray) we can afford the new toy. Merry Christmas!
