Un-Flipping-Believable!
Just goes to show...don't watch and good things happen. Every time we got fed up and couldn't watch anymore, they scored. At halftime when we went for supper, they scored. After the first OT, and I thought my heart was going to beat right out of my chest and we needed to give Abby a bath...they won. Yeesh. I don't know if I can handle another game like this. (and hopefully another after that!)
I gotta give it to Lulay. He did some amazing work.
Recap:
Last time we spoke, I was recovering from wisdom teeth extraction. I am almost healed. I can eat food but my jaw is still a bit sore.
The next day, we packed up the truck and drove to Moose Jaw. We had a great visit with Mark's parents...Abby warmed up to her grandparents pretty quick (although Grandpa took a little longer!) On Saturday, we drove to Regina, the boys did some shopping and the girls went to the Craft Show (my mom met us at the show). Then it was time for Abby's nap so I went home with my mom and visited with my parents while Abby slept (for 2 hours!) Mark and his parents continued their shopping. I am so glad Abby and I didn't go. It was so busy downtown and an overtired toddler would've driven us all nuts! When we drove into Regina, it was so foggy. As we were driving, we saw the headlights of a semi pointed at us on the side of the road. And all of the sudden, there was a guy standing in the middle of the right lane (wearing a reflective vest) waving at us to go slower. I mean, he just appeared out of nowhere. Mark had to slam on the brakes. I looked behind me to see what the heck he was doing, and behind us was a car passing a truck - so both lanes were full, the truck couldn't pull over to miss this guy. The truck missed him by about a foot. He slammed on his brakes and pulled over right away. Probably to give him a piece of his -mind..but holy cow, seeing a man splattered on the highway was not on my agenda for the day.
Abby has discovered how to turn the key lock off on my phone. I give her my phone to play with but I lock out the keys first. Well, she have figured out how to turn it off and dial. So if anyone gets weird call from a little girl who only says Hi, uh huh and yeah and then giggles, it's her.
