The Bug that Sticks Around

Boogers. That's what this week has been about. My cold has finally abated but it's effects linger on in the rest of the family. Abby started feeling sick on Monday with a slight cough and a runny nose. I kept her home from her Story Time at the Library but she seemed energetic enough to go the sitter's. In fact, the sitter said if I hadn't told her Abby was sick, she wouldn't have known. But Abby is like that. She'll get the runny nose and a cough but it doesn't slow her down. She might be a bit more whiny than usual but she's so distracted with all the other kids, she forgets to be cranky. Today, she was back to normal. But now, Mark caught it. He went down last night and called in sick this morning. We were planning to go to Regina to see my nieces play ringette and for a quick shopping trip but with Mark so run down and Abby barely over it, we cancelled. It's too bad. We've never seen the girls play but the way this week ended, it just wasn't going to work. And then we got an email from a guy interested in buying our little boat. He and Mark emailed back and forth all week and tonight he called him and worked out all the details. We're going to drive to Regina next Saturday to make the exchange (and shop at Costco). And then the next weekend, we're going to Yorkton to visit family. February is going to be a busy month. And then March, and then I'm done work and wait for baby. I'm tired already. And I can feel it in the evenings. We've been wanting to keep Abby up later in the evenings - she's been waking up at 5am for the last few days and playing for an hour before falling asleep until 9ish. While I like the sleeping until 9am, I do not like the play session at 5am. So tonight we kept her up a little longer but I was ready for her to go to bed. My patience is wearing thin lately (this week especially) so I'll do my best but my expectations are low.

Update on the water heater...Mark went to a repair place and they said because it was Kenmore, a Sears guy had to fix it. So Mark called Sears. Apparently there is no repair guy in our area so we have to find someone to fix it and we'd send the parts bill to Sears. So Mark went to a different repair place, bought the part and fixed it all himself. So horray for Mark.

So the Superbowl is this weekend. I'm so happy. Not because of the football and not because of the commercials but because M&M Meats puts a lot of my favourite things on sale!! Yeah!!

And now for some pictures of Abby playing with her babies...
