Quick Update
It feels like awhile since I last posted so here’s a quick rundown on what I’ve been up to :
The receptionist at work was on holidays last week so I was filling in for her. This meant doing all my regular work plus answering phones, greeting clients and helping out the other lawyer as well. It was an exhausting week and I am so glad it’s over.
It snowed last week. A good 8” came down overnight. Thankfully I have a crossover SUV and my husband has a truck. The buses may have been cancelled but we all still made it to work and school.
It took three days for our road to get ploughed and it reinforced our belief that we need another SUV or truck once my vehicle gets too old. We’re looking at electric vehicles and Tesla had announced that they were coming out with an electric truck. We were so excited to see what it would look like. We stayed up late on Thursday to watch the unveiling. Now don’t get me wrong, starting at $40,000 USD and boasting some pretty impressive specs, the truck seems like a no brainer to purchase. Until you see it!!

It’s hard enough to be taken seriously in the heart of oil country for wanting to drive an electric car, there is no way I can drive that around here!! Plus, a ton of things on this aren’t street legal so it’ll have to be tweaked before it is mass produced. I think Elon finally went mad with power.
Anyway, enough of that. Today is the Grey Cup and I’m excited!! I’m rooting for the Ti-cats but to be honest, I don’t know have a gut feeling about who will win. But I’m excited to watch. And I’m excited about the halftime show too. I love Keith Urban, I went to see him when he was in Regina a few years ago.
This is going to be a good day. I have some more Christmas cookies to bake. I’m finally going to get around to making snickerdoodles, my favourite! I made some candy cane cookies yesterday- check out my instagram for pics on those. I also baked buns yesterday too. Thank goodness I have Monday off to get some rest!!
