Spring is in the Air
Well, kinda. It’s been very mild here lately. And a lot of the snow melted today. Temperatures have been hovering around the freezing mark. Tomorrow’s high is supposed to be +6! Some mice have even been scurrying around outside only to be caught in our traps.
My co-worker is selling plant seeds and bulbs for a fundraiser for her son. So now I’m really starting to think ahead. Last fall I planted - or rather transplanted raspberries and saskatoons. I don’t know how they fared this winter. I think rabbits got to the raspberries. I might have to build some type of enclosure to keep them out.
I’m going to get some flowers from my co-worker. There are lilies of the valley which are probably my favourite next to lilacs. There’s also a couple other flowers that might do well in the planters at the front of the house.
It’s got me looking forward to Spring!
