A Tale of Two Nests

I have two robin nests that I am currently watching. There is one under the deck at the front of the house. There are four eggs and the mother hates me. I named her Karen. She freaks out every time I go near the nest. 

Then there is the nest under the steps of the deck at the back of the house. There are two eggs. It’s in the exact same spot as the robin’s nest last year which leads me to believe that this might be the same robin as year as well. That and the fact that she couldn’t care less about me. She’ll watch me when I walk around but she never gets upset. Even this morning when I checked on the nests, she didn’t even fly away. I named her Mary.

I can’t wait until all the eggs start hatching and I can watch the chicks grow!!
