Mmm...celebrations
Mark took me out for supper tonight to celebrate my first paycheque and his Christmas break. It was really nice. We went to Rocky View. I had excellent steak and veggies and a mixture of wild rice and domesticated rice. Mark had the roast beef and veggies and mashed potatoes and bread. We both had soup. I had beef wild rice and Mark had the cream of broccoli. My oh my, was it ever good. It was nice to have a quiet, relaxing meal. When we drove home, I looked at the stars. I had forgotten how many there are. I used to always watch the stars when we drove to and from Swift Current. After we got on the highway, and I didn't have to watch for deer anymore, I'd put my head against the window and watch the stars and be amazed at how many there are.
After supper, we went to Walmart to look around. For a Christmas Bonus, I got a gift card there. So I bought the Dixie Chicks new CD with enhanced DVD. Mark was going to buy a video game with Christmas money, but it was sold out. The last time we went to Walmart, the thing he wanted to buy was sold out too. He's having a string of bad luck. Maybe I'm going to have to revamp my idea of sweeping a store and finding what you want and then coming back later. It's not working for him. Well, at least the Internet is always stocked.
To all those travelling, be safe. To all those with family, have fun and to all those alone, stay relaxed.
