One Fall Day

Today I saw something I've never seen before. I was in the parking lot of Extra Foods and I was just pulling out when I saw a black dog dart in front of my car. I slammed on the brakes and watched it run behind the car...with a full rack of ribs in its mouth. I saw him later down the road jogging down the highway with the ribs bouncing around. That's going to be one happy puppy!

I twisted off the cap of the Hoisin sauce tonight. It was so stuck on that it ripped off some skin on the inside of hand. It really hurts now. But I'm typing through the pain because I don't want to forget any of this. Plus I have pictures that I swore I'd post tonight! (I actually don't have swearing powers as of yet, but soon. That way if I don't get it done tonight, nothing bad will happen!)

Okay, tonight was the debut performance of our band. I think we're going to be called A Mile From Home. Or something like that. We haven't decided yet. Anyway, it went pretty good. There were a bunch of performers and we only played two songs, It Ain't Me Babe and Leaving London. It was a lot of fun. I was a little nervous at first but settled in. I'm just glad that I didn't have to sing. Then I would have been super nervous. But it was a fun evening. Can't wait for next week!

And now... pictures from my walk this afternoon. All the leaves are changing and I wanted to capture what Flin Flon looks like in Fall.

(There's more on my Facebook page once I can get it running!)
