Phantom Weekend

Well, we just got back from our exhausting trip. I think I've recovered enough to talk about it now. I'm skipping Bible Study tonight to relax.

Okay, so on Friday, we left and drove to Saskatoon. When we hit Prince Albert, we got into some really nasty weather. There was thick, wet, heavy snow falling and as long as we stayed in the tracks, we were alright but as soon as you'd get out, then you'd hit ice. Not fun. But it only lasted a while and pretty soon we arrived in Saskatoon. I was so beat that I went to bed almost right away. The next day, we got up and went shopping. We bought a new computer that Mark has been playing on. (getting to work). But it looks like he's got it now. And I can finally play on Garage Band. It's a program that lets you record your own music and edit together so you sound like a band. I'm super excited about that. I'll need to figure out how to use it first. I tried it at Mark's computer at work, but I didn't really know what I was doing and a shop office is not a good place to record music. We did end up looking at baby stuff. We were so overwhelmed but I think at least now we know what's out there. Then once all the shopping was over and I had a snort nap, we went out for supper and then then walked over to the theatre. The show was amazing. I forgot how intense it was. The beginning part when the orchestra is playing and the chandelier is rising so slowly, my heart was pounding. And I wasn't even uncomfortable (until near the end). Then the cold walk back to the hotel which I really enjoyed. I was getting hot in the theatre so the cold wind felt great. Everyone else was shivering but I was enjoying it. The next morning, we went to Costco and spent more money. It was really nice that my parents could come for the weekend too. It was great to spend some time with them. The drive home went alright. I was getting more uncomfortable on the ride back. Plus I was exhausted that all I did was stare out the window and read a book.

All in all, it was a great weekend. Monday was pretty rough trying to get back to work but I think I'm better now. And I'm pretty sure my belly grew overnight. Weird.
