Yesterday, Mark and I were watching TV and Abby was playing on her mat on the floor. She was reaching for an empty Coke can on the coffee table. So I was half watching TV and half watching her. The next thing I know, she grabbed the edge of the coffee table and pulled herself up and grabbed at the can. I yelled for Mark and he looked over just in time to see her take another swipe at the can and sit back down on her bum. We tried to get her to do it again, but I guess once is enough. I was so excited! She's only ever pulled herself up with us helping her. This time she did it all by herself!!! Yeah!

Abby will now walk if you hold her by the arms and lean her forward.

Last night I was feeling pretty tired. I laid down on the cough and put Abby down on her back in front of me. The next thing I know, Mark comes upstairs and starts laughing. I open my eyes and see Abby way over by the end table, sitting up and surrounded by all the magazines that she's pulled out from under the end table. All the magazines.

I think we're going to have to start baby-proofing the house!
