I Feel Sick
Background: So Mark and I went and bought new cell phones. After much deliberation and research into plans and carriers and what plans work with what phones, we decided on Mark getting a Blackberry and me getting a razor. They are really cool. I can text again, and take pictures and video. And with Mark's Blackberry, he can do all that plus go on the Internet. And it was really nice us both having cell phones.
Tonight: Abby was crawling all over the couch trying to get the remote. I put it behind my back like I always do to try and get it out of her reach. So after a few minutes and not finding it, Abby got off the couch and played with some of her own toys. I reached back to get the remote and found something else. Something I wasn't looking for...anymore. Yep, the cell phone.
So now I can phone up the cell phone company and unfreeze the phone and use the time up like a crazy person, or just throw it out the window - like I want to right now.
I just can't believe it. I checked the couch, I pulled up those cushions. Arggg. I just feel so stupid. First, I lost the phone, then I couldn't find it, then I found it way too late. I feel like a irresponsible child who can't be trusted with anything valuable. And I hate that feeling.
So that's that, as they say. Now we have cool 21th Century phones and one paperweight. I guess Abby can keep playing with it.
One thing I am excited about is the Christmas Break. It was Mark's last day and mine was yesterday (that's a new different entry). We have a few days to prepare and then we're off to Saskatchewan and family. I'm really excited and I hope it's a good time...not rushed and hurried but a nice relaxing time catching up with family and playing with Abby. The only problem is that I am starting to get a sore throat. I hope I can kick it before our holiday begins.
