I Will Slow Down...Soon

Okay, so I'm not doing so well with the whole taking-it-easy attitude. There's too much to do. I made a couple lasagnas to freeze. I washed and sorted a bunch of baby clothes and accessories. And work has been pretty busy too. The new lawyer started, and the new girl (who will be taking over my job) started too. I've been busy training her and will continue for the rest of the week. I can't believe I only have two days left! I kinda hurt my back at work last week. I don't think it's the work's fault though. I bent over to pick up a single piece of paper that was on the bottom shelf. When I stood back up, a ripping/stabbing pain radiated from my lower back. Now every once and awhile, it'll stab me again and when it's really bad, I can't put weight on my left leg. Thankfully it's not that bad very often. My abdominal muscles have all but given up. If I sit for too long, it's hard to stand back up - everything feels like it's going to fall out! But then if I don't sit, I am WAY too tired to do anything else. It's a good thing I only have two days left at work.
We have been doing some fun things lately. On Friday, Brent Butt was in town. Mark took me out for supper and then we went to the show. It was a really nice evening. The food was good and the show was excellent. The day had been so nice and warm but after the show, it turned cold and windy. Shortly after we got home, it started raining. Not very much - just enough to keep the dust down. On Saturday, Mark's parents came for a visit. Mark's dad helped bring up the dresser from the basement to put in the kids' room. And they set up the crib. Now all we have to do it put up the shelf, find a diaper pail and put the sheets on the crib. I finally found my diaper bag so I can get that packed. And we found the car seat, swing and bathtub. Time is ticking.
I had my latest doctor's appointment on Monday - everything still looks good. Doctor doesn't think I look big. I think he needs new glasses. But the good news is that Estevan finally hired a full-time anesthetist so if the baby is bigger than anyone thought, then they can do a C-section here and not send me to Regina (while I'm in the middle of labour). I get to go see the doctor every week from now on until my due date - then it's everyday. I'm so excited (there needs to be a sarcastic font). Last appointment, I sat in the car dreading it. And next time I have to bring Abby along with me. I'm hoping it's not a long wait but I'll make sure to bring some activities for her to do. Wish me luck!! Mark is on Spring Break starting the week after that so he'll be available to watch Abby while I'm at the doctor's. Then (hopefully) I won't go overdue and I won't need to go to any more appointments!!
The weather sure has changed. It was so nice last week but now it's turned rainy.

Signs of Spring:
There are bugs buzzing around. I even saw a bee! And some spiders - not as much fun
There are more geese around. There were geese all winter so it wasn't that much of a shock to see them, but now the big flocks are flying overhead.
I heard a woodpecker somewhere in the backyard. I haven't seen him yet, but he's around.
There's lots robins and morning doves too (Abby calls them Choo-Choo-Birds)
The flowers are starting to sprout and the crocuses are out
The street sweepers are out in full force - about time! Those roads are so dusty and with this wind, it get terrible around here. Of course it would help if the city stopped fixing all the roads by dumping a pile of gravel down.
