Vent

I was standing in line at Walmart today. You know the line. The one that doesn't move because there's only one cashier and she's busy with a guy that has a million different things and she keeps messing up. I was standing behind four or five people who are getting more and more irritated. There's one lady in particular who was right in front of me. I saw her doing the dance...the "I can't believe this is taking so long" dance. I just know she wants to make eye contact with me so she can complain to me. Instead, she catches the girl behind me and says loudly, "Can you believe this? And only one cashier!" I quickly pulled out my cell phone and started playing a game. Because honestly, I can believe it. I'm right here. Standing in the same line you are. My feet hurt too. I have better things to do too. So don't complain to me. I don't want to hear it. This isn't my first trip to Walmart and it won't be my last. Lines will be long. There won't be enough staff. You'll have to wait. Suck it up like the rest of us and stop complaining to me. If I do happen to make (accidental) eye contact with you, this doesn't not give you the right to complain about the store/employees/wait to me. I have been sucked into those conversations too many times. (We have a lot of long lines here.) Now I carry my cell phone everywhere just in case I see that person desperately looking for someone to complain to. Well it won't be me. I'll nod in fake sympathy and go right back to Bejeweled. You want to vent...get a blog.

Ha ha ha! Awesome. And that... is Em being a BAD ASS. Thank you, folks. She's here all week!

Funny, I totally get that, and I usually want to complain myself, but I'll just stand there. And stand there. And hope that someone does turn around and complain. It rarely happens. (The turning around, not the lines thing. That alwayssss happens.)
