A Hat-Trick of Hawks

Every morning when I go to work, I watch the power poles. More often than not there is a hawk perched on top of one. Lately I’ve taken to pulling out my phone and snapping a few pictures as I go by. Yesterday I was treated to three different hawks sitting on poles.

My quest for a decent camera with a good zoom continues. I’ve decided that I don’t need a professional quality camera for what I want to do. This has brought my budget down considerably. However I am still short quite a bit. So I’m taking a page out of my husband’s playbook. Recently he bought a computer. The video card in it wasn’t the best so he looked around the house and decided to sell a bunch of stuff he wasn’t using. It didn’t take long before he had enough money to upgrade the video card.

I have a lot of stuff that I don’t use. I have quite a few instruments that are just gathering dust. My fear is that I regret selling them and have to buy them back one day. So that’s out. There are a few other things that I could sell. And there’s an entire c-can full of stuff that we don’t use. I’m sure it won’t be long before you see some pretty sweet closeup shots of birds on this blog.
