I’m getting better at making steak all by myself. It used to be the only way we’d make them would be  on the barbecue and that’s my husband’s domain. Since we still have a few steaks left in the freezer and this really isn’t the time of year to cook outside, I decided I had better learn how to make them. It’s really not that hard. Pan fry on the stove for a few minutes to sear then the toss them in the oven. I only put some salt and pepper on as seasoning but next time I’ll add a dollop of butter and maybe a bit of garlic powder.  

I usually like to have a nice glass of red wine with my juicy steak but last night I was up for the majority of the night with an excruciating migraine. Plus it was crazy windy out and the dog kept barking so we had to have her in the bed with us. I had a nice nap this afternoon which helped a bit but it still felt like the safer bet to stick with iced tea.
