The Best of Times the Worst of Times

There’s always that one thing! One thing that does not go the way it’s supposed to go!! Last year it was mulled wine. This year is it the Christmas Crack. 

Christmas Crack is where I throw all my leftovers. All the unsweetened chocolate from the spiral cookies, the icing from the sugar cookies, sprinkles from various birthday cupcakes and I bought some peanuts and caramels to sweeten the deal. I threw all of it together and made what I thought was a pretty sweet dish.

 

Boy was I wrong!! The unsweetened chocolate overpowered everything and the caramel stuck to my teeth. It was basically inedible. 

However, turning to the bright side, the girls and I decorated the house and that turned out great!! We finally tossed our old secondhand tree and bought a new 7 foot slim pre-lit tree and it’s amazing!! Even better after the girls got their hands on it. 

I have trouble letting go of control.  Even with decorations but every year I get a little bit better. And I think the girls did a great job!!
