The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

When I was a kid, Christmas morning was my favourite part of Christmas. Getting up early, running to the tree and seeing all the presents and then opening them with my family. 

When I got older, I started liking Christmas Eve more. I like the anticipation. The look in my girls’ eyes when they go to bed eagerly awaiting the morning. 

This year, I couldn’t wait to get to the Christmas baking. Last year  I decided to try some more traditional cookies. I got a few recipes from my mom and I have to say it worked out quite well. 

Today I made sugar cookies and spiral cookies. The girls decorated the sugar cookies. It went really well. Maybe I’ll make some more tomorrow but for now I’m going to sit on the couch and relax. I love this time of year!
