One Small Step

I've decided that if it's above -20, then Abby, Deeds and I will go for a walk. So since it was only -19, we got bundled up, and we walked to the end on the back alley and back. It only took about 5 minutes but it was a start. Abby hated getting ready. She screamed as I put her into her snowsuit (which was way too big) but stopped once I got her into the Trekker and started walking around. Plus, Deeds figured out that we were going for a walk once I got the plastic bags out of the basket and started getting dressed. So she was whining along with Abby's screams. It was not fun. I considered not going but I knew that once we were ready, everyone would calm down. And they did. Abby almost fell asleep in the Trekker, but I didn't walk far enough for that to happen. It was hard to keep the toque on her head and not let it cover her eyes. She freaks if her eyes are covered. Plus the hood on her snowsuit was way too big to do any good. I clipped the soother to the side of her snowsuit but she didn't hold on to it very well. So it wasn't the easiest walk but they will only get better. And I feel better about my Resolution.
