We're Home
We spent the last few days with family. We left on Saturday and drove to Yorkton and spent the night with family. They have a newborn baby boy (adorable) and I got to hold him lots. I even gave him a bottle. He may be small now but not the way that little guy eats! Abby looks like a monster beside him. We got a few good pictures of them together. After that, we drove to Moose Jaw for more visiting. The next day was in Regina for even more visiting and a day o' shopping. We had a good supper with my folks and my best friend came over too. The next day we went to Costco and bought something we have been wanting for a very long time....a 50" TV. Now the HD channels look right. It's awesome. We drove back to Yorkton and spent the night again. Today we drove home. All in all, Abby did really well. She would fall asleep almost right away and stay asleep for almost 2 hours. When she woke up, her were usually at our stop so I could feed her and change her. Then she wouldn't fall asleep as quick and cried for awhile but only for awhile. During one of those episodes, I had reached back to try to soothe her and she managed to grab my finger and stick it in her mouth. I felt something sharp in there but then her hand was in there too. When we got home, I looked in there, and sure enough, she has a small tooth sticking up on her bottom gum. So that's exciting.
It's good to be home. I like visiting with family and it's really good to see everyone but I'm glad life has returned to its normal rate and I can sleep in the same bed for more than one night in a row. I'm prepared to start getting Abby to sleep in her own bed. While we away, she slept with us just because then we know she won't wake up screaming and disturbing everyone. But now it's just us and I've heard her cry. And I'll most likely hear it again.
