Update #2
So Abby is constipated. I was thinking about that as she was holding my hand, straining and screaming! Then it dawned on me...the last time she pooped was last Wednesday. Remember? I had just decided to potty train Abby. Then she started to poop. I tried to put her on the potty and she ran away screaming. Really should have listened to her. She hasn't pooped since and my theory is because she didn't want to poop in the potty. And don't try and tell me that I need to give her more liquids. Because of all the potty training, I've been pouring juice down her throat in an effort to get her to pee. Ask me if it worked....
Once.
My problems are several-fold. I'm only home in the mornings so she has to wear diapers rest of the day. We go out in the mornings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays. And most importantly, she doesn't know when she has to pee. She knows exactly what to do, just not when to. Oh, and the one time she pee in the potty... we spent 45 minutes in the bathroom playing Round and Round the Garden, This Little Piggy and reading stories. Then we looked at pictures on my phone and Abby even took a few. Anything, ANYTHING to keep her sitting on the potty. She still didn't go. SO we had lunch. Half way through she decided to try again. 20 minutes later, she looked down to see pee filling up the potty. So when I got all excited about her peeing in the potty, she really just happened to be sitting on the potty when she started to pee. Well, I learned my lesson. I was just so excited to get her potty trained....Next time we try, it will be because she's ready.
And now for something completely different...Random Abby shots.
This one is just too cute to pass up. She is sitting in her new chair she got Friday.
And then she took one of me!
And here are a few she took during the potty training.
And some more random photos...
I went for a walk today. First one of the year. It was awesome. It was warm outside (but way too windy) so I bundled up Abby and Mark put the sled together and away we went. Across the street to where my friend and her 3 year old daughter were helping shovel the snow. I asked if they wanted to go for a walk with us. We had a great walk and talked the whole way and the girls sat on the sled as I pushed them around. I've been stuck in this house with a toddler in panties who runs to the potty every 10 seconds to not pee and I think it's starting to wear on me.
