Wait a Second

It was brought to my attention that Christmas is right around the corner. I'm usually really good at this kind of stuff and I'm sure the last few years, I had all the Christmas baking and the Christmas cards done by now. The lights are up, and on, but I can't even think of decorating the house! It still feels so early! I'm hoping now that there is snow on the ground, I will feel more motivated to do all the Christmas chores I need to do to get this house (and this family) ready for the season. Maybe I'll start by making a list of all the things I need to do. Yes, lists are fun. A fun, yet effective way to procrastinate doing the things on the list.

I quit Walmart. I've had a lot of problems with them lately. It's not so much that I dislike the big, greedy, American corporation but rather that they keep screwing up and every time I leave that store, I complain about one thing or another about the store, and yet, I always go back! Ordering online and waiting weeks for 1hr photo developing, not being able to find product of the shelves and more waiting weeks for online orders. I'm done. I'm trying out other stores that I haven't gone to as much before. I shopped at No Frills the other day. I'm still a bit rusty, I forgot my bags at home and I bought the wrong milk, but I remembered my loonie for the cart! I also noticed that Canadian Tire has lots of kids toys, and Peavey Mart is also good for kids toys. This may mean driving to more stores (perfect, since Isabelle has entered her "I hate car seats" stage) but I think I will be happier in the long run. I'm not saying that I'll never go into Walmart again, it just won't be my first choice.

Well, I think I've procrastinated enough. Time to check twitter and then get some work done. (Yeah, right)
