Chore-Time!

My kids have chores. Not many.

In the morning they are responsible putting away their breakfast dishes and making their beds. They also have to take the dog out. One of them does it before school and the other does it after school. 

It’s been working out well for awhile but today they decided to switch shifts. I really couldn’t care less when they do it so long as they actually do it!! Far too often they whine and complain and then their father ends up stepping in and doing it for them. It drives me nuts. 

Hopefully as long as we keep after them about their chores we’ll instill some sort of work ethic in our children. That’s the hope right? To raise self-reliant people who aren’t afraid to get the job done. 

All through a morning walk. And caring for another creature. One who loves you and depends on you.
