My Dilemma

I really like history. I think I always have. But lately I’ve been reading nothing but history books. I’ve always said that I’ve read every historical fiction novel ever set in the Tudor period.

I started watching this show called Timeless. It follows a history professor as she and two others follow this bad guy through major events throughout American history. But it got me thinking, should I have been a history prof? Well, it’s a little late for that now. But is there something I can do with my  so far useless knowledge of history? I like writing. Maybe I could start a history blog?

I’ve been thinking lately that this blog is kinda all over the place. More like a public diary/journal with no real central theme. I’d like to have a blog that is focused on one thing.

So I’m considering starting a blog dedicated to the women from history who I find fascinating.

My biggest struggle? Finding time and energy to research and write the actual thing. If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know how I struggle with my time. Between a full time job that I take pride in, two active kids who need me to drive them around plus a dog and a husband. Thank goodness I’m not one who goes out with friends on a regular basis!! I barely have time to ready history, do I have time to write about it?

Am I prepared to set aside time to do this? I already know it won’t be updated often. But it would be really cool to do this.
