Rain Rain
We had a decent weather this weekend so we made the most of it.
I baked buns. The girls always have buns in their school lunch so every other weekend I need to bake or they run out. It takes all morning but it’s worth it. A half-batch makes three dozen and that’s what I usually make. If I know I won’t have a free weekend I might make the full six dozen.
My husband also got a couple major projects completed. He built a fire pit this summer and just had to finish up the woodshed. He built it a couple weeks ago. Then last weekend we painted it and put on the tin roof. Then there was a really strong wind and blew it over. This weekend we put it back up, fixed up the little damage there was and filled it full of the firewood we had laying around since...well, a long time.
He also took advantage of the decent weather to put away the boat for another season. We only took it out four times this summer which is four more times than last year. It feels like a lot of work getting it ready for summer for just a handful of rides. Maybe it’s just I’m sad that the summer is coming to a close.
It’s supposed to rain all week. Our road is so soft! Hopefully it will be nice for the upcoming weekend so we can finally use the awesome fire pit! We’re also planning to go to the EV meeting on Sunday - so it’s not just farmers hoping for some sunny, warm weather!
