Went for a Walk

I went for a walk the other day. It was a beautiful day - one of those late summer/early fall days. We’ve had so much rain lately it was nice to feel the sun beating down. And everywhere I looked there were these big, bright white mushrooms growing.

There were also lots of those little bees. They are too small to be bumblebees and too big to be cutter bees. One even got in the house. I wish I knew what they were! 

It looks like it’s the end of summer is upon us now. The temperatures are dipping low and by the end of the week it’s supposed to be quite chilly. Which sucks because my oldest daughter is having her birthday party and they are going horseback riding. They’re only calling for a high of +5 with a 60% chance of rain!! Well at least there is an indoor arena if it does rain and the girls can always throw on an extra jacket and a pair of mitts. 

Still, I remember the day we brought her home 11 years ago. It was a beautiful early fall day. The skies were clear and the sun was beating down. We went for a walk.
