Get Out!

It's been a great last two days. On Friday, we had some friends over for supper. We had one of those lasagnas that Mark and I made before Abby was born. We put a lot of cheese on it. I really like cheese and pasta in my lasagna so we did an extra layer of cheese and pasta. Then on the top, I grated a lot of marble cheese and sprinkled it on a few minutes before it was done baking. Mmmm. It was cheesarific. So we had a really good evening. They are a great couple and they brought one of their daughters. She was really good too. It's tough for a kid to go out for supper with their parents' friends but she was really good. After supper, Mark set her up with a movie and we didn't here a peep. Abby did pretty good too. She cried right before supper and I had to put her in the trekker. I ate supper with her on my lap. But she fell asleep so it wasn't too hard.

This morning, I went to a Women's brunch. There were a lot of people there and it was a lot of fun too. Abby did pretty good too. Once she woke up, she sat with me for awhile before the ladies at my table passed her around. Then she got cranky so I changed her and she was fine. Then she got cranky again so I fed her. After that she was really tired. One nice grandmother type took her around but couldn't stop her crying so I took her back and within 5 minutes, she was fast asleep. This afternoon, we went out for a late lunch at the newly opened Chicken Chef. Yummy. Then we did some shopping and went back home. Now we are staying inside. It's -31. Yikes. Abby is getting tired now. I can hear her crying but Mark has got it covered!

I have to tell you about her big sleep last night. She fell asleep at midnight like usual. I woke up at 7:00am and realized that this was the first time all night I had woke up. And she wasn't crying. I got a little scared so I snuck in her room and there she was sleeping like an angel. She slept for another half hour. Then after she ate, she didn't wake up until 10:00. I was almost late for my brunch!

Yay for sleeping through the night!! Hopefully it becomes a habit. The first time Chloe did that, I practically sprinted to her room to check on her.
