Too Cold For Me

This morning it is -34, with the wind chill it is -44. So we decided to skip church this week. I know that Abby would probably be okay in her car seat since she has that sleeping bag that is super warm but...I just don't feel comfortable going out when it is so cold. Maybe next week. Mark is supposed to go out and put up the ice shack this afternoon. I don't think they will go. I hope they don't. It's too cold for that. So I am planning to spend all day snuggled nice and warm in the house. Mark put the window plastic on the basement windows so now it's nice and warm down here. I don't need tho wrap myself in the blanket to type anymore. Whoo-hoo.

Abby had a different sleep last night. She was getting really tired in the evening. At 9:30 she started fussing like she was tired. So I put her in the Trekker and she fell asleep. There was a movie that Mark had recorded on the DVR so we watched that. In the middle on the movie, I took her out of the Trekker (very carefully) and she just slept in my lap. The movie ended after midnight. I put her into her crib and she slept there until 3:30. She's never fallen asleep so early in the evening. But I'm sure she wouldn't have done it if I hadn't been holding her. And after she woke up for the day, I put her in the swing so I could take the diapers down to the washing machine. I could hear her fussing but she wasn't really crying so I let her be. I was getting the sheets ready for the wash when she got a bit louder, but again I let her be. Then I heard Mark come up the stairs and Abby stopped crying. I thought he had picked her up but then he came into the bedroom and he didn't have her. He just smiled and said "Sleeping like a baby." Wow, she actually put herself to sleep! Nice. I like this. I hope this becomes a trend. I wonder what kind of day she will have today.
