Time Flies When You Can Sleep
Yesterday, a friend came over for coffee (I know you're reading this). I had a really good time. Abby actually slept for a portion of it. I was surprised. I didn't think she would with the excitement of another person but I guess she was really tired. It was nice to have a conversation with a another adult. And one that I didn't imagine. People ask me how I deal with being alone. I tell them I talk to myself a lot and I have imaginary friends. They give me funny looks but I swear, it really helps. I can vent to them and they never talk back. Or if they do, they know just what to say. (I'm not crazy, Please don't report me.) So having someone real to talk to was a nice change. And she's a good friend too. She's really honest and open so I don't feel hesitant to open up myself.
I can't believe that four months have already gone by. I'm now into a nice routine. I know what to except and what to do about it. She's back to sleeping through the night. She's getting her second set of immunizations next week. I think I'll take it better this time. I won't be so shocked when my heart breaks. I'm not looking forward to it, but I know I can deal with it.
P.S. Yes, I watched the Super Bowl. I found an American channel so I could watch the commercials but I'm not used to watching the commercials and switching the channel when the show comes on so I had some trouble. Once I got in the groove, I had gotten sucked into the game. I am not one of those people who can just watch a sporting event and not cheer for anyone. I have flipped through the channels and landed on soccer and started rooting for one team over another. Anyway, once I was sucked in, I started cheering for the Steelers. (you're welcome) I really liked that Holmes guy. Maybe I'm just partial to receivers named Holmes. But he did make the Big Catch. Good for him.
P.P.S. I like the Pepsi commercial about MacGruber.
