All The News That's Fit to Post

I feels like forever since I posted last but I guess it hasn't been that long. Trouble has gone home to her people. Now Deeds has no one to play with. Oh well, she doesn't have to compete for attention now. Abby still isn't sleeping through the night. She'll sleep for a few hours then needs to come and sleep with me. Last night was really bad. She was teething pretty bad so I gave her some Tylenol. I thought if she doesn't sleep through the night now, she never will. Well she didn't get tired at her normal bedtime. (I didn't even bother putting her in the crib.) Two hours later she finally gets sleepy. I woke up around 1:00 and carried her to her crib and went back to bed. An hour later she wakes up and I take her back to bed. So I think I've come to terms with her not sleeping through the night. It's just not going to happen. I told my mom to remind me about this when she's a teenager and sleeps until noon. I just finished trying to feed Abby her bowl of cereal. As soon as I gave her a spoonful, she pushed it all back out. After a few minutes of fighting with her (and losing) I gave up. My patience level is way down when I don't get enough sleep. So I put the bowl away and cleaned up. I left her in the Bumbo and she was smiling her big smile and dancing and giggling. I had to laugh. She can make me so frustrated and then make me so happy.

I'm playing with the music team at the Women's Conference on Saturday. I'm playing both mandolin and banjo so wish me luck. I got the music ahead of time so I could practice. I had to transpose most of the songs into easier keys. I got really fast changing Bb to G. I got a new piece of music when we practiced together on Wednesday. Again, it was in Bb so I quickly changed all the chords. They were so impressed that I could transpose so quickly. What they didn't know is that I have to be able to do that because I don't know how to play all the chords. It's either learn to transpose or learn all the chords. Maybe I should just learn all the chords.

We went the Leisure/Trade show yesterday. We say my sister's in-laws there. It was nice to catch up with them. They got to see Abby. And I found out that they read this blog too! Hello!

Abby likes The Beatles. Good to know.

I promise they start sleeping all night before they are teenagers (although with some it still takes a while). Brian's sister said that a book called Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child really helped her, and she had lots of issues with her daughter sleeping. And when all else fails, caffiene was invented for a reason! :)
Good luck with the mandolin thing. I used to be able to transpose, back when I still played my clarinet. I don't think I could do it now though.
