Just When You Think...

I think I have the piano figured out. Now in order to do the metronome, I just have to mute the song and not have this one button pressed. No biggie. It's annoying cuz I never had to do it before but it's okay. I know what to do and we're good.

Yesterday's ball game proved to me my theory that baseball is so different from any other sport. What I mean is that you can always come back. In football or hockey, if you are losing with one second left, you aren't going to win. But in baseball, you can be losing in the ninth inning with two out and have two strikes on you and still not lose. It was the top of the ninth. The Jays were beating the Indians 4-3. They had two outs and the batter had two strikes on him. They were literally one strike away form a win. Game over. Now quite. Then it happened. The Indians scored three runs. Game over. Not quite. The Jays came back in the bottom of the ninth and scored two runs to tie it up 6-6. So I guess the moral of the story is to never give up, you always have a chance. Or maybe it's not to leave in your relief pitcher for longer than one inning.

I realize now that I have to be careful how I react to a baseball game. I know it used to bother me when my dad got really upset at a game. Now I see Abby react the way I did. How do I make her see that I'm not mad at her, I'm mad at the stupid pitcher who just walked the lead off batter after his team just got him the lead? Stupid pitcher. But Abby gets upset when I yell at him. I know that while I'm nursing I can't react to either a great play or a really stupid one. I suppose I have to learn to keep it low key now. If I can do that then surely the pitcher can keep it in the strike zone.

P.S. The Indians won 9-7 in the 12th inning.

You can start yelling at the TV again when she is a little older. My mom has done it for as long as I can remember. Maybe in a few years Abby will even join you!
