Beauty of a Weekend
It was a bit of a different weekend. My husband was throwing a party at our place for some of his friends so the girls and I decided to spend the weekend at my parents’. My mom got us tickets to the Globe Theatre’s Beauty and the Beast. I’d never been to the Globe Theatre before but I knew it was a theatre in the round. But once we got in I had no idea how they’d be able to pull off the show! The stage looked so small. Yet they put on a full show. The funny thing is, in the movie, the song Gaston sings in the tavern was always one I skipped over but the version they did in the play was outstanding. My favourite part of the show! The effortless way they threw the beer steins around and wheeled Gaston around the tavern was so much fun!
After the show, we all went out for supper and then took a walk to the park. There were two families of ducks. They were so cute and fuzzy and little!
We were all exhausted when we got home. And the party went well too.
Now it’s back to real life. We finished planting all the trees. And then after watering them all, the entire wheel fell off the trailer. So yeah, not a Disney princess after all.
(About 10 minutes before the wheel came off! Thankfully no one was hurt. Mark was driving and the girls were on, I was on the other side of the house. He was only going about 5 miles an hour.)
