Daily Checks

Just out on my daily checks. Peeked in on the eggs. They are always in a different position so Rebecca must be doing a good job. I was worried that she’d take off and abandon them. Our neighbour had a nest on her tractor tire but the mother left it. I wonder if she’s the same one? But then again, there are plenty of robins around. 

And then I saw something nearly better than a nest. My lilacs are blooming! Every since I was seven years old I’ve loved lilacs. And now I have some! This year I was doubtful that they would bloom. They were so late this year and many of them had ugly brown dried up flowers on them. So a couple weeks ago I pruned them all in hopes that they would bloom. And sure enough, here we are!
