Rock and Roll!
When I was at the clinic yesterday, the nurse remarked on how strong Abby is. How she could hold her head up so well. She said that I must be doing a lot of tummy time. I told her, no not really. Hardly any in fact. I think all of the tummy times I've done have been videoed and posted. So you can see just how little I am actually putting her on her tummy. Well the nurse said that I need to increase it so she keeps strengthening her neck muscles. Today I put her on her blanket and watched her flail around for a bit. Lately when she's on her tummy, she starts to tilt to one side like she might roll over, but she never has. This afternoon was was tilting again and I thought I should run and grab the camera just in case she rolls over, but then it was all the way downstairs and I didn't think she'd actually roll over. She started to get a little fussy and cry but she was so close to rolling over I just couldn't pick her up yet. She was so close I wanted to give her that last little push even though that would defeat the purpose. I was about to give in and pick her up when all of the sudden, she was laying on her back! She had rolled over!!! She is exactly 11 weeks today and she rolled over!!! I was so proud, I picked her up and told her what a big, strong girl she is. I can't wait until Mark gets home so I can tell him the big news!!
