Who Needs Sleep?
I took Abby to get weighed and measured again today. She's now 14 lbs and 23 inches long. She's got a bit of a cold. Well, I'm not sure if it's a cold or not. She's stuffed up. She's still able to feed and she is sneezing it out pretty good but you can hear her struggling sometimes. She coughs and gasps a bit then snorts. It would be funny if she wasn't so upset by it. She didn't sleep very well last night. She needed a lot of re-tucking. And this morning, she woke up at 7:30 and needed to come to bed with me to fall asleep. She slept on my chest and even then she would get a bit restless and have snorting attacks. I'm too scared to use the nose thingy that sucks out the snot. I prefer her to sneeze or snort it out. It's grosser that way but it's safer - in my mind. When I took her today, I asked the nurse if I should be getting her immunized. I've heard two months but then I heard three months for the first shots. I guess here, it's two months. So I'm late. Well, in my defence, I think they should remind you about shots. I have trouble remembering to wash diapers everyday never mind getting immunized. So I made an appointment for that. They only do it once a week so I'm going to be really late. And it looks like the next day is all booked so I'm really, really late. So I'm a bit down about that coupled with the lack of sleep last night, I'm not having the best day. I think we'll have Delissio pizza tonight. It's hard to mess that up. Except if you leave the cardboard on, which I've done - twice. But she's sleeping now so maybe I'll have a nap before I have to get supper out of the box!
P.S. I'm not entering into the immunization debate. Feel free if you want to. Just know I'm not taking sides and I'm getting my daughter vaccinated at the specified times (well, except this time).

For her nose you could try the saline drops. They help with congestion and what not. I also like baby vicks, although you are technically not supposed to use it until 3 months. A humidifier in her room also helped Chloe breathe and made her able to sleep better. Also, you could try placing a blanket under her mattress to angle it. It helps her to breathe better.
Sorry if that is too much advice. I am just dealing with the tailend of Chloe's cold, so that's what all the books told me to do. Hopefully she is feeling better soon, especially before you leave for Christmas.
Sorry to hear that she is sick feeling with a stuffy nose!! I hope that she is better soon!!
And about the immunizations, being a month late is no biggie so don't sweat it! You're doing great.
And oh! You're cloth diapering? What are you using? I didn't realize you'd decided to go that route.
