Days Go By
Well, yesterday was a big day. I actually filled up the four lines in my diary! Abby and I went ot Bible Study in the afternoon. She continues to get up at least 2 times in the night. I am getting used to this so I'm not as tired during the day. In the evening, I was getting Abby dressed for the music night, and she grabbed her toes again. But this time she actually got a toe in her mouth. Good girl. So we all went to the music night. There were more acts this year, and more people in the audience. I went up and played my two songs. It went pretty good. As soon as I started singing, my mouth went dry, but I made it through. I stopped being nervous halfway through the last song. Maybe I should have done a third!
Today I gave Abby some formula. I had tried yesterday, but she screamed the entire time. She wasn't too pleased with it this time either but I kept the bottle in her mouth and eventually she calmed down and drank half the bottle. And that was after I nursed her. I think as long as I keep this up, she'll get used to it and won't scream as soon and the bottle touches her mouth. I guess it didn't help that the first time I lowered the bottle to her mouth, a stream of milk shot out and hit her in her face - right in her eye and all over her cheek. Not a great way to start.
I had the strangest dream last night. Abby was about 10 years old and we were in a musical. In the dream, time passed differently. I went to sleep when Abby was 5 1/2 months (her age in real life) and woke up to find that she was 10. And this was perfectly normal. It was like in a soap opera when kids age 5 years in one day and it's perfectly acceptable. And we had a new dog too, since 10 years had passed. It was a blond cocker spaniel. And it was an affectionate dog, not calm like Dee Dee. I missed Dee Dee. Weird dream.
