I Am Weak
My friend hosted a Kidsmart toy party. I usually don't like going to parties like these. I always feel so pressured to buy something. But I decided to go since it was a friend hosting it and she was really relaxed about and said it would be a good time with great food and friends. So I went. I decided I wasn't going to buy anything. I was going to be strong. I was going to take a catalogue and make some excuse about buying later. When I got there, Abby was so content to stay in her car seat and look around. After some time passed, she got a bit bored so I grabbed a toy off the table and stuck it in her hands. For the next hour and a half, she played with that toy. So I bought one for her. It wasn't my fault. It's all Abby.
We just got home from our regular date of going out for supper and going to Canadian Tire and Walmart. (We enjoy it, please don't judge us.) Abby fell asleep almost as soon as we hit the restaurant. She was playing with a rattle attached to the top bar of the car seat and the next thing I knew, I look over at her and she's fast asleep with her hand still clutching the rattle. It was so cute. She slept through all of supper and woke up as we left. By the time we parked in Canadian Tire, she was asleep again. She is still asleep in her car seat. Mark turned on the radio for her and since I have the monitor turned on, I am now listening to some excellent Bluegrass music courtesy of Sirius Radio!
