One Day

Today is the first day that I have off. It actually doesn't feel much different from any other day when I was on Maternity Leave. I don't know what I was expecting...but it didn't happen. I was going to stop in at The Orange Toad for a Carmel Mac but I had already spent too much money at Walmart so I passed by. Yeah, my first day off didn't go exactly as planned. After Mark went to work, I played with Abby for a bit then we ran some errands. I went to Walmart to develop some pictures then bought a bunch of frames to frame them once they're done. Then we went to Main Street to get some questions about my EI answered (they are). Then I was going to go back to Walmart to get my pictures but Abby was falling asleep so I decided to go home. Once I got home I realized that I forgot to go to the bank. And I had planned to get some groceries but I forgot the bags - but I don't need groceries that bad. The only thing we were actually out of was bread and since my parents came, we have buns now! Abby fell asleep just as I pulled into the yard. I got her settled and unpacked all the stuff. She woke up around 11:30 and then Mark came home and we had lunch. After lunch I decided I wanted to go to the bank after all and then I could pick up my pictures. So the bank went great. I really like the ladies who work there. And the girl who had my job while I was gone now works there. They all fawn over Abby so much - it's awesome. One teller gave her a Fat Cat toy. So I get back in the truck and drive across town to go to Walmart - again. If you've never been to Flin Flon, the bank is on one side of town and Walmart is on the other. I live in the middle. So I drove around town on the perimeter - the traffic division of the RCMP was in full force and had someone pulled over. Anyway, I get close to Walmart, oh and the view was exceptionally good today. There was a mist/fog over the trees and it looks so perfect. Then I realized the fog/mist was actually the smoke from the smelter. There is no wind today, it is setting in town. Yuck. So getting close to Walmart, I looked back at Abby and her eyes are closed and she's fast asleep. So we came home. I guess we can get the pictures tomorrow.

If you send your pics in over the internet (which Wal-mart does, just search wal-mart photo centre) then you only have to make one trip. They even e-mail you when they are ready!
