Happy Easter!!

I hope everyone had a great Easter. Easter is one of my favourite holidays. For a number of reasons.

1. I can’t think about Easter without being flooded by memories of being at my Auntie Lois’ house decorating eggs.
2. Easter means spring. Especially this year. The weather was amazing and there are so many birds and other animals pairing off - another sure sign of spring.
3. Ham. Easter means ham dinners.
4. Family. It’s always great getting together with my family. Especially when my mom makes a wonderful ham dinner!
5. Tons of chocolate!
6. This is this is the time when we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us all.

This Easter was a just like all the rest, my kids decorated eggs with their grandparents (who they usually decorate eggs with). All the birds are out and the grass is green! My mom made a delicious ham supper with cabbage rolls! We spent time with my parents, and my sister and her family. The cousins all played really nicely together. Even the dogs got along! Oh, and there was lots of chocolate eggs!

The only downside was that I was not feeling good this weekend. I started getting a bad cough on Thursday. When we got to my parents’ house, I was all out sick. I was sore and coughing and chilled. I took a nap and woke up in a sweat. I was too tired to go outside and enjoy the weather and the kids and the dogs going for walks. It it did give me some time to sit around and talk with my dad so I call that a win.

Thankfully, I’ve been feeling better. Today I had to work and I wasn’t feeling great this morning, stomach issues, but I felt fine by lunch. I’m tired tonight but I think I’m on the mend.
