Spring Storm
This is what I woke up to this morning, and I gotta say... it could have been worse. The wind is picking up now but the snow isn’t so bad. I wouldn’t want to be out on the roads but I’ve seen worse late April storms than this one.
Luckily, I have plenty of inside work today. We’ve been out of buns for over a week now so today is a perfect day for running the oven and baking some buns! Plus, we decided to use all out PC points on a grocery shopping spree yesterday (while the weather was still decent) and we bought a big juicy ham. That will keep the oven running all afternoon!!
I’ll try and remember to post some pictures of supper tonight. You can always follow me on Instagram @emilykroeker, that’s where I post most of my pictures.
Like this one of the hawk I saw on Friday evening. The neighbours were burning their flax and this guy flew over to see if any mice were scurrying away.
It was fun to watch the fields burning. Like a giant campfire. The neighbour came over at point to chat while her husband stayed in the field to keep watch. It was very efficient and very controlled. It’s amazing what a tool fire can be as long as you can control it. The girls were a little scared because of the flames and how close they were but we were never in any danger.
