Why I Like Co-op

They have good prices and lots of things are on sale every week. They have giant warehouse sales. Their carts are only $0.25 as opposed to Extra Foods $1.00. They sell food in larger packages. They have a deli section where you can have a person slice up your favourite meats. But best of all, they will bag your groceries for you.

So I got groceries yesterday. Abby sits in the cart now. She fits pretty well. I just have to be careful about taking any sharp corners or stopping suddenly. This week is turning out to be more busy than usual. Today I'm going to get my hair cut and on Wednesday, Dee Dee is going to the vet. Then on Saturday, I'm going to the local production of Evita. I'm looking forward to it. They always put on such good performances. It should be a good but busy week.

When Abby's a bit older, make sure you get her a Coop kids card. My girls each have one. They get something free from each department. A sucker from customer service, an apple from the produce section, a muffin from the bakery, some slice of meat from the deli. It's nice to get some free snacks while shopping. Plus they get a birthday card in the mail with a coupon for $5 or $10 off a birthday cake.

Our favorite thing about Co-op (besides free carts) is the little tiny carts they have so Abby can push one. :)
