Our Sleepy Little Town

has been invaded. Apparently, this guy had broken out of jail in the states and was allegedly seen in the Cranberry Portage/Flin Flon area. He's ex-military and has lots of bush training. I thought something was up when I was walking around Main Street yesterday and there were RCMP everywhere. They were driving up and down Main Street and I saw two walk into a store and one other was standing in front of a door, not the usual casual standing and smiling to passersby, but the guarding the door and I'm on duty stance. Before yesterday, I had seen the RCMP maybe twice and that includes the time when one went fishing with Mark and Richard. So it's a little tense right now. I don't feel too worried, we live in town and if he's so great at living in the bush, then he's more likely to stay there. I'd be more worried if we lived at one of the lakes. I thought I wouldn't be able to get to sleep last night but I had one of the best sleeps ever. Didn't wake up once!
Well, I'm going Lake Trout fishing today. They are up finally up. There is really only one week of good trout fishing. And it's really calm today too, so we're heading out. This will be my first time Lake Trout fishing. Mark is a pro by now but I'm the rookie. Hopefully the only thing we catch is trout...and no ex-cons.
