100th Post
Yeah! Happy 100. This is my 100th post and going strong.
Well, Mom warned me this would happen. I was at choir last Saturday and the leader of the Ladies Group was there too and she asked me if I wanted to sing in the choir. I said sure, why not. So we were at the meeting on Tuesday and we were talking and she asked me if I read music or play piano. Without thinking, I said yes. Well, the lady beside who plays the piano now (and doesn't really like to) jumped up and basically said I was an answer to her prayers. Oh boy. So now I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing on Sunday. I may just sing, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll be playing too.
This has been a busy week and it's not over yet. I went to a rehearsal audition for the Beauty and the Beast Musical. I was so nervous and it wasn't even the real thing. I was unsure if I should audition for Belle or just be a villager. But then, if you don't try, you'll never know. So we were told to separate into those who wanted to be villagers and those trying out for Belle and the Beast. Well, only one girl walked over to the Belle spot so I thought, well, this is silly. So I walked over too. We all had to sing by ourselves in front of everyone. I was so nervous I was completely out of tune but the second go-round, I was better. I've never heard this song so I didn't know how it went. But my scene went quite well, so I'm happy about that. I'm getting more confident with the song now so I'll be better when the real auditions come on Sunday. Maybe it's good that Mark is going away this weekend because I'm so busy with choir practices, church practices and auditions, I may not have time to miss him. Though I kinda doubt it. I hope he has fun and stays warm and safe and gets a deer. He's coming down with a cold so I really hope that goes away right now! We didn't get much sleep last night. I got about 4 hours and I don't know about Mark. I, at least, can have a nap during the day but he has to deal with children all day. I guess he can sleep on the way to Swan River.
Oh, I should mention, the Environment Canada website sometimes doesn't do the weather justice. Last time I checked it was snow and lightning. Well, looking out the window there are huge flakes coming down sideways. The temp doesn't sound too bad but when you get a face full of icy snow, it cools you down quite quickly. It said about 1 cm of snow expected. Well, perhaps because most of the snow is blowing so sideways it won't actually touch the ground. This sucks, I'm going to have to shovel!
Well, that's enough complaining for one day. I'll keep everyone posted with how all my musical endeavours go this weekend. Wish me luck (break a leg)!
UPDATE: They just updated the Weather so now we have a snowfall expected up to 10-15 cm. That's more like it.
